Orbit Panels were created to fit 3 main design criteria:
1: Mount a Stream Deck to a wall (and make it look nice)
2: Not require a computer at each location
3: Be as easy as possible to install

By combining a Stream Deck and POE Raspberry Pi running Companion Satellite, Orbit Panels let you have control where you need it.

Orbit Panels fit in standard wall boxes for easy install into new or existing openings.

Orbit Panels don't require being plugged in to any local computer, which means you can mount it anywhere without having to find a spot to hide a computer. It also makes it more cost effective to add multiple control panels in many different locations.

Orbit Panels only need 1 ethernet cable to provide both POE power and networking. This is much simpler than needing to get power and control from separate sources to your wall mounted controller.

Stream Deck is a customizable control pad. It was orignally designed to serve as a video game live streaming control device for online streamers. With the addition of the open source software Companion it can be use to control and display info from all sorts of smart home devices or professional AV gear.

Bitfocus Companion enables the reasonably priced Elgato Stream Deck to be a professional control surface for a huge amount of AV equipment and smarthome devices.

Companion is free and open source.

Companion is brand agnostic, not a part of a closed eco system.

Satellite lets you connect another computer with a Stream Deck attached (or Orbit Panel) without having to install Companion on that computer. For example, 10 different computers on your network, each with their own Stream Deck, (or Orbit Panels) and all you need to have is one central Companion instance to configure everything. Easier to manage if you have many operator positions spread out in your environment.
